Elder Care

The Elder Care class will be a 4 week class designed to help participants gain an understanding of what is involved in caring for the elderly. The classes will be 1 hour modules covering topics such as personal care, nutrition, home safety, and others. This class will be a good start for anyone who has an interest in doing in-home elder care or caring for a loved one.

PC Repair & Maintenance
In Development

The Computer Repair & Maintenance class will be a 6 to 8 week course designed to prepare students for the workplace or for personal use with maintaining their technology. Students will have the opportunity to get their Comptia A+ Certification at the end of the course.

Classes will be held Monday through Friday afternoons. Enrollment is limited to 5 students to allow time for individualized instruction. This course will be a good start to a career as a computer support specialist, a customer service representative, or a computer repair technician.

Certified Nurse Aide

The Certified Nurse Aide class is a 6 week class that exceeds the requirements for certification by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Classes are held on Monday and Tuesday, 9 am to 2 pm, and clinical practice on Thursdays, 8 am to 2 pm at Elliott County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Classes are small, with a minimum of 6, maximum of 10 students. This course is a good start for a career in Healthcare. Many technical schools require the State Certified Nurse Aide credential be obtained before a student can study for the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) program. As a Certified Nurse Aide, you can work in a Long Term Care facility, Home Health Agency, Hospital, or as part of the FIVCO Family Caregiver Program.

Computer Classes

Computer classes are offered as a 4 week class designed for the beginning student or for those wishing to brush up on skills a little rusty from lack of use. It can be applied in the workplace, as well as used for personal enrichment. Classes are held for one hour a day Monday through Friday. Enrollment is limited to 10 students to allow time for individualized instruction. Courses are offered in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, and FrontPage. This course is a good jump start to a career as a general office worker, a data entry, or a computer operator position.

Hospitality Training
In Development

Hospitality training class will be designed much like customer service as most of the skills are the same. This training will be a 4 week class geared toward working in hotel and restaurant business. Our program will emphasize on training an individual with skills in service that meet standards of many professional franchise such as hotels, inns and resorts. This course will be a good start to a career in hotel clerk, amusement and recreation parks, theaters, and food service.

Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative training is a 4 week class designed for anyone who possess good people skills and wish to start a career in customer relations. Classes are Monday through Friday and will cover skills such as communication, telephone, business dress, data entry, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Occupations relating to customer service training include administrative assistant, billing clerk, call center representative, general clerical, desk clerk, and many more.
