Sarah's Place E-Center Art Gallery

The E-Center Art Gallery is designed to provide local artists with access to markets regionally, nationally, and even internationally.

Kentucky has many great artisans and some of them will be offering their work for sell in our E-Center Art Gallery.

The majority of the pieces will be one-of-a-kind hand-made artwork and once sold there will never be another just like it.

This independent entrepreneurial attitude is one of the main things that makes Elliott County strong and proud!

Welcome to our newest Artist!

Tami Boohers

I am currently a resident of Elliott County, Kentucky. I am mainly a self taught artist who has been working    on perfecting my art for the past 15 years. I have paintings in private collection nationwide.  Including
several pieces that were accepted into the 2008 Project for the Cancer Hope Lodge in Philadelphia, Pa.
www.healingartworks.org I work in oil, acrylic and pastel; the main focus for my art is the natural beauty
that is found in nature. I choose to work with the palette knife because of the texture and life that I feel the
knife brings to the canvas. Living here in Kentucky is like a dream come true for a landscape painter such
as myself, for there is so much untouched beauty all around me here; I so look forward with great excitement to being able to interpret and capture that rawness and beauty on my canvas. My background includes teaching painting, through a community college for several years. Working as the art director for a non-profit organization that worked with at risk youth, combing the therapeutic benefits of art and equine skill building. As an artist, I know, how the very act of creating art can help one find themselves. Thank you and enjoy my work, for I truly enjoy creating it.

Our Newest Quilters:

Inmates from the Little Sandy Correctional Complex

The Little Sandy Correctional Complex is a minimum/medium security state prison that houses 1010 men. Many of the residents of Elliott County have been employed there since its
opening in 2005.

Sarah’s Place has been the recipient of monitary donations at Christmas, and beautiful
woodworking products for its annual fundraisers. The latest contributions from the prison are two quilts produced by inmates.
These quilts are completely made by hand, and have an assessed value of $800 each.

They are currently for sale on Ebay.
